Heliflight helps Santa to Historic Herbs
21 December 2007

While Santa was looking forward to handing out presents with the aid of his helpers at Historic Herbs, based at Halfpenny Green Vineyard, disaster struck when Rudolf wasn’t well enough to pull the sleigh.
“We were really worried that Santa would not be able to come and spend some time in the lovely grotto we have created, but with the aid of a helicopter Santa arrived on time to give out presents,” said a relieved Diane from Historic Herbs.
Santa was ably helped by part time elf and fairy, Dominic Vincent (age 7) and Caitlin Faulkner (age 7), who had been training hard over the last few weeks. “For a moment I was really worried Santa wouldn’t come but it’s great now he is here,” said Caitlin.
“While Rudolf is feeling a bit under the weather, he’ll be fine for Christmas eve,” said Santa. “I knew when I was stuck I could give my friends at Heliflight a call to help get me there and take the pressure off Rudolf.”

Jon Lane, Managing Director of Heliflight said: “We were so pleased to help Santa out, when we got the call we readied a helicopter straight away. We can’t compete with the speed at which Rudolf flies but we knew we could get Santa to the vineyard quickly.”
Diane has also sent Rudolf some freshly grown lavender and murtle herbs that not only look pretty but have healing properties. “These herbs are very good pick me ups at this time of the year and work well for both reindeers and humans, so Rudolf should be fit as a fiddle for Christmas,” said Diane.
