Flying School Events Programme
Flying School Programme of Events
Welcome to this year’s event programme. There is something for everyone, so get your diaries out and pencil in some dates. We would really like to see you and it’s a great opportunity to get to know other people who fly with Heliflight. The events include flying and non-flying activities, so you can bring the whole family along too. We have also included an indication of the flying hours, so you can budget accordingly. You’ll find local flights that won’t break the bank and some more adventurous outings that are long weekends offering satisfying and spectacular flying. If you would like further details on any of the events then give us a call or drop us an email.
To organise these effectively and efficiently we would be grateful if you could let us know you would like to come in the month before the event. We would also like to hear from you with suggestions of other things you would like to do.
Finally all the flying activities come with the usual rider on safety. If the weather is unsuitable and you have booked on an event that we think will not run we will call you with some alternative suggestions or the bad news that the event will be cancelled at least two days before.
We welcome any ideas from all Heliflight members for additional activates, all suggestions considered. We look forward to seeing you and having some fun.
Mountain flying course: An excellent opportunity to learn the techniques of flying in mountainous terrain. This affords spectacular views of Snowdonia and really helps you get to grips with the effect density altitude has on your ability to hover. All the information you need to fly safely in mountainous terrain and a good dose of flying actually doing it with experienced instructors makes this a great day out or alternatively a weekend away.
